The Chief Administrative Secretary, National Treasury and Planning, Hon. Eric Simiyu Wafukho, today visited the Campus Crusade for Christ (LIFE Ministry) offices in Kilimani and was received by the Jesus Film Project team. He was given a brief on progress being made in outreach programs using technology that has been assembled in partnership with local universities. He is also expected to grace Africa IGNITE event that is scheduled to take place at the coast and whose focus is on building movements of marketplace leaders who use their leadership, influence, finances and expertise to fulfil God’s mandate upon their generation.

Later in the day, CAS Wafukho held a consultative meeting with the NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat Chief Executive Officer, Amb. Dr Samori Okwiya at his Treasury office. The meeting focused on progress made in the implementation of the County Peer Review Mechanism (CPRM) for Kenya which had been launched by CAS Wafukho earlier on behalf Cabinet Secretary Amb. Ukur Yatani. This is a voluntary governance self-assessment tool by Kenyan counties to share experience, reinforce best practice, identify deficiencies and assess capacity building needs to foster policies, standards and practices that lead to political stability, high economic growth and sustainable development.

Key partners in the CPRM process include , among others, the Presidency; Council of Governors(COG); Kenya National Bureau of Statistics(KNBS); Office of the Attorney General and Justice Department; Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission(EACC); Kenya Institute of Public Policy Research and Analysis(KIPPRA); Controller of Budget(COB); Commission of Revenue Allocation(CRA); Presidential Delivery Unit(PDU); State Department of Planning(SDP); Ministry of Devolution and ASAL; Institute of Certified Secretaries(ICS); Inter-Governmental Relations Technical Committee(IGRTC); and, Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat.
