Led by the CEO Mr. Daniel Osiemo, the NEPAD/APRM Secretariat held a meeting with Machakos Governor H.E Dr. Alfred Mutua to Discuss Cascading of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) as a tool for promoting good governance and sustainable development in the counties.

Machakos has been picked as one of the counties to pilot this process that will be called the County Peer Review Mechanism (CPRM). Governor Mutua has embraced the concept fully and urged the team to implement the project in a “Chap Chap” manner to showcase how governance and development are playing out in Machakos County.

CPRM will also provide a platform for knowledge sharing and help counties to comply with the constitution, enabling pieces of registration as well as reporting requirements to the summit, the National Assembly and the Senate.
