The occasion was graced by the CEO NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat. 100 seedlings were donated by the KFS while 400 more were purchased by the Secretariat from a private tree nursery.

The seedlings were of assorted species, both exotics and indigenous. Other parties in attendance were KFS officials, Teachers, Pupils and the surrounding community.

A total of 100 seedlings were planted while the balance of 400 were given to the community.
School administration promised to care for the planted seedlings through watering and protection.
