The meeting is set to pave way to a forum to take place next year 2025 in February, where participants from the 15 counties along the coast, lakes and major rivers in Kenya will meet to discuss ideas that will enhance and promote inclusion of women and their contribution in a more active role in the fishing sector.

Women will play a major role in the value chain ranging from fishing to processing, in proactive strategies that will give them a fair advantage in the fishing industry.
