The NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat has successfully undertaken civic education and capacity building initiative on the County Peer Review Mechanism (CPRM) for Kwale and Taita Taveta Counties. The workshop taking place in Mombasa County, aims to enhance governance, accountability, and service delivery at the county level.

Participants in the exercise include County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers, and directors from both counties. The training seeks to equip the county officials with skills and knowledge to effectively implement the CPRM, which is designed to promote good governance and facilitate peer reviews among counties.

Speaking during the session, the Chief Executive Officer, NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat Amb. Dr. Samori Okwiya, emphasized the importance of local governance structures in fostering transparency and community engagement.
