President Uhuru Kenyatta has called upon African Leaders to attend the 7th Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) Week set to commence from 28th February to 4th March 2022 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.

Speaking during the 39th session of the NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee (HSGOC) meeting at State House, Nairobi, the Head of State noted that the 7th PIDA Week will provide an opportunity for international and regional know how on matters around the implementation of infrastructure programmes across the continent.
Additionally, the Head of State affirmed that PIDA Week will focus on how Africa can lead the way in the delivery of infrastructure in the post Covid-19 era, deliberate on how to overcome challenges and unravel viable solutions to improve infrastructure development in the continent.
Kenya is set to showcase its infrastructure development projects in the country among them; the Nairobi Expressway, Lamu Port South Sudan Ethiopia Transport (LAPSSET) Corridor and the Konza Technopolis.
In attendance at the 39th Session of New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee was; The President of the Republic of Kenya H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo H.E Felix Tshisekedi, Rwanda’s President H.E Paul Kagame, The President of Zimbabwe H.E Dr. Emmason Mnangagwa, African Union Commission Chairman, H.E Moussa Faki, the Cabinet Secretary, National Treasury & Planning, Hon. Amb. Ukur Yatani, Head of Public Service Dr. Joseph Kinyua and the NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat Chief Executive Officer, Amb. Dr Samori Okwiya among others.
